CASH FOR APPLIANCE UPDATE!!!!
As I receive information I will post updates. As of now I know that the “rules and regs” have NOT been finalized by the state. Information should become available to retailers my the end of March! Florida is likely going to run rebates on a reservations system, meaning, you go online or call a dedicated number to RESERVE your rebate. Once you have a confirmation number you may then purchase appliances April 16 – April 25 ONLY. Rebates sent for fulfillment must be post marked by May 10th. Rebates will be paid in the form of prepaid American Express cards.All qualified purchases must be Energy Star Qualified. The 6 catagories that will be paid the rebate are: Refrigerators, Freezers, Washing Machines, Dishwashers, Room AC units and GAS Tankless water heaters. The rebate will be 20% of retail paid before taxes with an additional $75 IF you certify that the old appliance has been recycled.
Sears is proud to offer 5 of the 6 product lines (sorry, so gas tankless waterheaters in our assortment currently.) We will keep you updated with information as we receive it! How do I “Certify” that my old appliance has been recycled? Do I need to bring any documentation, or send something in with the rebate?

The state guidelines require purchases be made on April 16. Pre purchases will be disqualified for the rebate offer. Sears warehouse in Jacksonville is stocked and ready to fill our orders as early as Tues April 20. REMEMBER….seriel numbers are NOT required to obtain a priority number. You only need your purchase receipt information to register for a rebate. Full documentation of the purchase and haul away will have to be mailed in (snail mail).
